Born in Munich in 1997, Katharina completed her training at the Iwanson School of Contemporary Dance in Munich in 2018. In 2024, she completed her master's degree in Movement Research at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz with a master's thesis on the exploration of a feminist dance practice.
Currently living in Bern, Katharina works as a freelance dancer, choreographer and dance teacher. She has been creating her own works since 2018 and has already choreographed several short pieces that have been shown and awarded internationally. Her works have been praised by the press as expressive, funny, critical, intelligent, with an astonishing stage presence and technical skills.
In 2019, she choreographed a piece for five dancers for the trinational project ARTIL in Ukraine, Poland and Austria. In 2025, she was selected as an ATLAS artist for the Impulstanz Festival in Vienna. Her short piece NUMBER 52 was awarded the prize for 'Best Performer' at the SoloDuo Festival 2025 in Barnes Crossing Cologne.
As a dancer, Katharina has worked with Joshua Monten, Wim Vandekeybus, Simone Elliot, Emese Nagy, Sade Mamedova, Emi Miyoshi, Nunzio Impellizeri and Karolin Stächele, among others. As a dance pedagogue, she regularly teaches training for professional dancers, as well as hobby classes. Katharina volunteers as a board member of the BETA Association of Bernese Dance Professionals for the independent dance scene.
